How to compete sustainably in cleaning market?

The household cleaning market is highly competitive. Big companies use lots of money for advertising and plastic bottles. We don’t want to be a small brand; we want to help everyone make their daily lives more eco-friendly. Our success means a bigger positive impact on the environment.

Is there a way to confirm the truth of your claims?

We rely on your trust. We’re straightforward about our mistakes and any changes in our plans. We share the good and not-so-good stuff. If we overlook something, you can always inform us.

Is it possible for someone new to sustainability to create an eco-friendly startup?

You need to be brave and keep trying! It means people come up with new ideas to solve everyday problems. Our backgrounds as  prove it’s good to try new things, even if we wish we had started earlier.

Can you shed some light on your annual donation contributions?

We  donate 30% of our profit to Canadian ocean clean-up organizations such as the Ocean Wise Conservation Association and the Ocean Legacy Foundation and more. For transparency, our yearly accounting donation reports are published on our website.

Where does the 30% of profits go?

Once plastic waste enters the sea, sustainable recovery becomes increasingly challenging. Canadian ocean clean-up organizations occasionally organize beach clean-up initiatives. However, their primary objective is to prevent waste from reaching the environment altogether.

Why not donate 100% of profits?

To reach our goal of clean ocean  water  we need to donate a lot more money than we can now. That’s why we use the rest of the profits to grow our company. The larger we get, the more we can donate in the future. It may seem odd, but we believe growing the company will lead to even bigger donations later.

How can we be sure you’re donating 50%?

Shipping & Delivery

Where we ship to?

Our entire product range is shipped from our Calgary warehouse. We deliver to customers in Canada and the US, with orders arriving within 2 to 8 days.

How does shipping and delivery work?

After placing your order and eagerly anticipating your Dropco product, our team will diligently prepare and package it. Kindly allow up to 72 hours for us to pick and pack your order. Please note that we dispatch orders only when all items are ready, so if there’s a pre-order item in your order, everything will be sent together once the latest item is available.

Your carefully packaged product will then be sent via our reliable couriers, Canada Post, aiming to reach your patiently waiting hands within 2-8 business days.

Upon dispatch, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email from us, including a tracking number to follow the magical journey of your order.

Important to note: All shipping timeframes are calculated from the advertised date of dispatch. If your item has a pre-order date (mentioned next to the product name in brackets), that’s the dispatch date, and the delivery timeframe starts from that pre-order date. If there’s no date next to the product name, consider yourself fortunate—it’s ready to go!

How much do I pay for shipping?

For refills, shipping is on us! We offer complimentary standard shipping through Canada Post for all refill orders. According to Canada Post estimates, delivery for this service typically takes 2 to 8 business days after your order is picked and packed.

For all other products, shipping costs are calculated at checkout. We encourage you to select Canada Post’s Regular and Expedited delivery services, which are carbon neutral. To help reduce shipping costs, we carefully pack all goods to ensure they are most cost efficient and they arrive safely.

What is the carbon footprint of our shipping process?

Our shipping process is meticulously crafted for maximum carbon efficiency, boasting an impressively low CO2 emission of 0.21

kg CO2e for refills to 1.258 kg CO2e per average package compared to 41.341 kg CO2e for Priority shipment. Additionally, we take pride in being carbon neutral, as any minimal emissions generated during the process have been fully offset through partnerships with post Canada.

What is a carbon neutral shipping?

Carbon neutral shipping aims to balance greenhouse gas emissions produced during the shipping process by investing in projects that offset an equivalent amount of CO2. This includes supporting renewable energy initiatives and reforestation efforts. Our company adopts such sustainable practices, ensuring their operations minimize environmental impact while providing efficient services.

What is the process for tracking my order?

Time to celebrate – your order is en route! Once we hand it over to Canada Post, expect a shipping confirmation email with a ‘Track Order’ button. Clicking this will lead you straight to the Canada Post site for live tracking updates!

If you haven’t received the shipping confirmation email, your order might be on pre-order, as indicated on the website during purchase. Double-check your original order confirmation; you won’t get a shipping confirmation until the pre-order date. For refills, we’ve opted for envelopes without tracking to reduce costs and minimize CO2 emissions.

Assistance needed: I believe my order may be lost as I haven't received it.

Concerned that your order might be lost in transit? While Canada Post typically aims for a 2-8 business day delivery, unforeseen circumstances can sometimes cause delays. In such cases, your tracking number may indicate a ‘delayed’ delivery date.

If your item hasn’t reached you within 12 days, please reach out to us by contact form page, and we can initiate an investigation with Canada Post.

*Important: Once your Dropco order is handed over to Canada Post, it is in the care of a different provider. We understand that delays can be frustrating, but once your order is with the courier, any issues must be addressed through Canada Post. We have the capability to contact them on your behalf to resolve any problems. Rest assured, we are committed to expeditiously resolving any issues that may arise.

 

Is it possible to update or change the delivery address for my order?

Uh-oh, just realized your order is headed to the wrong address? No worries, we’re here to assist! As long as your order hasn’t been shipped yet, feel free to send us the updated details, and we’ll make the necessary changes.

*Important:

Keep in mind that we can only dispatch your order to the address you provided during the order placement. If an incorrect address is provided, and the package is delivered there, we won’t be able to retrieve it. Please double-check your address details carefully!

Which packages qualify for Package Redirection?

Tracked parcels bound for Canadian addresses and handled within the Canada Post domestic network are eligible. Additionally, Canada Post tracked parcels destined for the United States or other international locations but still within Canada can be redirected, provided the new address is in Canada.

However, certain packages are ineligible, including but not limited to:

  • Refills
  • Items confirmed as out for delivery or already delivered.
  • Items with a redirected address outside of Canada.
  • Items not in, or no longer part of, the Canada Post domestic mail stream.
  • Return-to-sender items.

Requests can be cancelled before the item is found and redirected.

The delivery performance guarantee is voided when a package is successfully intercepted, re-labelled with the new destination address and re-inducted into our delivery network.

There is a $13 fee for every successfully redirected package, and additional shipping costs to the new redirection address also apply. When initiating a redirection request, your  credit card undergoes a pre-authorization for payment. The actual payment is only processed if and when we successfully redirect your package.

 

 

 

What is a Pre-Order?

We understand—it seems our products are flying off the shelves! Occasionally, the demand outpaces our stock, and we run out before the next shipment reaches our fulfillment center. In such cases, we offer these sought-after items for pre-order before their actual arrival. The anticipated stock arrival date is indicated in brackets next to the product name. All orders are then dispatched to our customers on the specified date, ensuring they secure their desired Dropco product and embark on their journey to cleaning goals.

Payment

Which payment methods are available for use?

We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), online transaction-friendly debit cards, and PayPal for your convenience.

How secure is your payment?

Ensuring your privacy and security is paramount to us. We employ Paypal payment gates, a highly secure and meticulously encrypted systems. These platforms are specifically crafted to safeguard customers and maintain a high level of accountability for merchants.

How can I apply the discount code?

Exciting news – there’s a sale, which basically translates to saving money (at least that’s our philosophy when something’s on sale). To apply your discount, proceed to checkout. On the initial checkout page, you’ll find a designated box to enter your discount code – don’t forget to hit ‘Apply’! This step is conveniently positioned before the payment page, ensuring you’re fully aware of the savings.

*Note: Only one discount code can be used per order. If you’re buying multiple bundles with different discounts, we recommend placing separate orders. The discounted items may already reflect the discount mentioned in the description. For code applicability, please refer to email offers for specific items.

Forgot to include your discount?

Completed your Dropco purchase and, in the nail-biting moment as payment processed, you realized the discount slipped through? Fear not! Your chance isn’t lost. Just shoot a message by our contact form page to our wonderful Dropco team and they’ll gladly assist in fixing this for you.

I need to change or cancel my order!

Mistakes can happen! If you need to change or cancel your order, use the contact form page ASAP with the subject line CHANGE or CANCEL. We’ll do our best to help. If it’s already shipped, you’ll have to follow our return process.

We try to send out orders quickly, so sometimes they’re processed fast. Once an order is placed, we can’t guarantee changes, so make sure to pick your items carefully.
